1992年、ニットブランドとして「SETSUKO TORII」はスタートしました。
それから20年を経た2012年、現在の場所で「SETSUKO TORII KNIT WORKS」としてショップを併設したアトリエを開設、
1年後にはカットソーブランドの「ttsティーティーズ」も加え、
株式会社SETSUKO TORIIとして再出発いたしました。
京都の町なかで100坪近い広さと落ち着いた静けさを私達だけのものではなく、より多くの方に楽しんでいただきたい。
糸をテーマに編んだり、織ったり、人と人の楽しいつながりが広がるような場所にしたいと、
2016年9月に奥にある蔵で糸屋をオープンいたしました。
Setsuko Torii started designing for her own brand “SETSUKO TORII” in 1992.
In 2012, 20years after that, she opened her own shop and atelier as “Setsuko Torii KNIT WORKS” at the present address in Kyoto.
One year later, she officially launched “SETSUKO TORII CO LTD” as a public company. At the same time, she started cut&sewn brand called “TTS”.
In September 2016, Setsuko opened a new yarn shop called “Itonokura” using a Kura (Japanese traditional storage house)
in the garden behind her existing shop. Her wish is for more people to enjoy this beautiful machi-ya shop in Kyoto,
gathering and inspiring each other at ”Itonokura” through yarns, knitting and weaving.
